I AM NOT TEACHING SAME GRADE NEXT YEAR, HOW DO I CHECK IN MY MATERIALS AND RECEIVE NEW ONES?
Please contact your school designee to check the Teacher Kits and follow your building protocol. The inventory of your teacher kit can be found on the corresponding materials page. Incomplete kits, kits sent without attached inventory lists or those not being checked in the school's library, will be returned and cannot be removed from your school's inventory. Once you return your teacher materials, your librarian will check out new grade materials.
I AM RETIRING/LEAVING THE SCHOOL, HOW DO I CHECK IN MY MATERIALS?

THE ITEMS IN MY TEACHER KIT ARE MISSING, HOW DO I REPLENISH MY KIT TO MAKE IT COMPLETE?
Please refer to the inventory lists published on the corresponding material page to verify the contents of your kit and include the list once you check in your teacher materials to your librarian.
If you are missing an item, create a post on the CURRICULUM EXCHANGE BOARD or communicate to your building curriculum designee.
The school is responsible for purchasing teacher kits due to loss of materials.
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE WITH SURPLUS ITEMS/AND OR OLD CURRICULA?
Per Policy 7251 and RCW 28A.335.180 surplus materials need to be offered to students first. Please do not send these items to SLC.
If your surplus items are a part of the current curriculum please submit Disposal of Books Form to SLC for approval and further directions.

- Please submit a new request if it is due to increased enrollment only and if you do not see your request already listed under the corresponding curriculum.
- Check with your library/office/other classrooms for materials and for any redundant requests.
- Contact the designated individual in your building. Please provide your Name/Grade/Title/Quantity so they could place your request.
- If you are the designated individual, please fill out the material request form on this website depending on the curriculum you are requesting.

- Requests are processed weekly on Wednesdays in the order they are received. Requests are subject to approval by Director of Teaching and Learning.
- Should your request be approved by the Director of Teaching and Learning and we have your materials at our disposal, you should expect them at your building within 2-3 business days.
- If your items are approved and need to be ordered, they are forwarded to purchasing department. Please check the corresponding material status page to check the status of your request.Orders can take between 7-10 business days excluding shipping. Please refer to the material status page should the items be on backorder.
